Introduction from Sendco
Dear Families at Hillside,
My name is Miss Wood, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as the Acting SENDCo here at Hillside. With over 16 years of teaching experience—including six years as Deputy SENDCo at another school within our trust—I bring a deep commitment to supporting every child’s learning journey.
Over the past year, I’ve spent one day a week at Hillside, which has given me the pleasure of getting to know many of our wonderful pupils and families. I’m thrilled to now be here more regularly and look forward to connecting with even more of you.
A key part of my role is ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. I’m passionate about helping all learners reach their full potential. I understand that navigating the SEND system can sometimes feel daunting, and I’m here to guide families through the referral process and help identify the most appropriate support.
I look forward to meeting many of you soon and working together to support our children’s success.
